H. LÜDERS, R. P. LESSER, J. HAHN, D. S. DINNER, H. H. MORRIS, E. WYLLIE and J. GODOY

Department of Neurology, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Correspondence to: Correspondence to: Dr H. Lüders, Department of Neurology, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195, USA.

Language interference was elicited by electrical stimulation of the dominant basal temporal region in 8 out of 22 cases and in none of 7 cases with subdural electrodes implanted over the nondominant temporal lobe. Language interference was elicited by stimulation of electrodes placed over the fusiform gyrus 3–7 cm from the tip of the temporal lobe.

Received August 23, 1988. Revised November 3, 1989. Accepted April 24, 1990.
