Fig. 2 TCRBV chain expression in peripheral blood and CSF of a multiple sclerosis patient. (B) Expres sion of TCRBV chains on CD4+ (upper panel) and CD8+ (lower panel) T cells from Patient P.W. The percentage of expression was determined for each TCRBV chain in peripheral blood (left) and CSF (middle) and the difference was calculated (right). The statistical significance between expression in CSF and peripheral blood was determined by {chi}2 analysis on the basis of the absolute numbers of cells with and without specific TCRBV chain expression. Significant skewing between CSF and blood was observed for three TCRBV chains. Values of {chi}2 are shown on the right.
