Transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD) is of growing importance in neurology, not only in the evaluation of cerebrovascular diseases but also in monitoring the intensive care or intraoperative situation and in the field of neuropsychology. This book aims to address all aspects of TCD, including the new methods of microemboli signal detection and cognitive monitoring. It also considers recent technical developments such as echo-contrast agents and three-dimensional ultrasonography.
