Sir, We have been much interested in reading the paper by the Marseille Epilepsy group regarding the implication of the thalamus, mostly the medial pulvinar nucleus, in temporal lobe epileptic (TLE) seizures (Guye et al. Brain 2006; 129: 1917–28). Using non-linear correlation of intracerebral ictal signals the authors elegantly showed an increase in the level of synchrony from seizure . . .
