About the Cover
Cover design PET using the GABAA ligand [11C]flumazenil revealed significantly decreased relative binding in motor and extra-motor cortex in subjects with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) compared with normal controls. This probably reflects loss of both pyramidal and inter-neurones and provides a new approach to quantifying the cerebral lesion in ALS.
