About the Cover
Cover design Post-mortem high resolution MRI of the spinal cord in multiple sclerosis. Proton density-weighted MRI (left panel) acquired at 4.7 T (in plane resolution: 0.08 mm). Excellent correlation is seen with corresponding histopathology section (right, centre panel), stained for myelin. Partial demyelination in the posterior columns (right, lower left panel) correlates with mild signal intensity increase on the MRI, while complete demyelination in the lateral white matter columns (right, lower right panel) correlates with high signal intensity changes. The anterior white matter is spared (right, upper panel).
